Small Sided Football Program
Written by admin
Saturday, 13 June 2009

ImageWe are extremely excited to announce the launch of Small Sided Football starting in September 2009 for boys and girls aged 6-10 years old.

Small Sided Football will offer the opportunity for young boys and girls to keep playing after the club season finishes. The 12 week program will have three main categories, U6, U7-U8 and U9-U10.

The program will be delivered in line with the objectives outlined in the FFA National Development Plan and will consist of 2 sessions per week; the focus will be development, participation and enjoyment.

Small-Sided Football provides many benefits to the development of young players, with more touches on the ball, more shots on goal, more 1v1 attacking situations and less perceived pressure on the players.

All this makes it easier to understand, learn and fall in love with the world’s most popular game.

Apart from the U13 Boys traveling to Brazil in September 2009; There have not yet been any final decisions made on which age groups will be participating at which tournaments.

We aim to give each player plenty of notice prior to any training camps, information sessions or any other activities.
