 Springers Leisure Centre has been the venue where some great Futsal has been on show over the past 2 months. Various teams of varied age groups and from different clubs have participated in the Futsal tournaments organised by the Australian Football Skool.
So far there have been the Open Age Men, U11 boys, and U13 boys tournaments. They have all been very competitive and action packed affairs. The standard of the teams has been excellent and all the teams have played out some thrilling games. You can view the action by clicking on the Photo Gallery.
Relieve the action from the penalty shoot-out in the U13s semi final game last Sunday.The majority of coaches who have registered their teams and participated in the events, have mentioned how great it has been as preparation for the upcoming club outdoor season. Especially with the availability of outdoor grounds being so scarce at the moment. “It’s great to have the ability to play against a number of teams in a competitive environment before the season starts” said Bentleigh Greens and U13 BoysState Country Coach Wael Gharzedine. he following tournaments are talking place in the next few weeks: - U10 Boys – Sunday 30 March
- U12 Boys – Sunday 6 April
- U14 Boys – Sunday 13 April
- U14 Girls – Sunday 20 April
- Open Age Men – Sunday 27 April
They are full day events starting at 10 am, with the final taking place at approx 3pm. Every team is guaranteed at least 3 games on the day, there are medals for the top 3 teams and a trophy for the winners. There are currently no more spots available for the tournaments listed above; however you are encouraged to register your team in case a spot becomes available. All you need is a minimum of 5 players to enter a team. Click here to get more information. There are more tournaments currently being planed, each tournament winner will automatically gain qualification into the Champions Futsal Tournament for their respective age group, which will take place at the end of the club outdoor season. If you haven’t already, register your team to be part of the action! Tournaments will be organised during weeknights and on some weekends when there are no club outdoor games. It is a great alternative to training during the cold winter nights on dark, muddy pitches. Register your team here |
