The Mallee zone is proud to announce that a total of thirteen players across all age groups were identified and selected in the intial AFS Representative squads following their performances at the AFS Championships in Bendigo.

Under 13 boys - Bas Evans, Henry Opie

Under 14 boys - Brent Mitchell, Carlo Cirillo

Under 15 boys - Will Kedmenec, Daniel Ghidinelli, Luke Mihai, Ridley Liversy, Gareth Ficarra, Simon Zappia

Under 14 girls - Alivia Opie, Georgia Haynes

This is a fantastic result for the players, their teammates and coaches in the program and is a perfect example of where the commitment and hard work towards football can reap rewards. It also highlights the talent that exists in our region and the huge opportunity that involvement in the AFS Program can offer players in furthering their footballing experiences.

 While these players have been identified by selectors on the day, all players that participated performed well and at a higher standard compared to when they first entered the program which was very satisfying for all coaches. Whether you were selected or not, you must continue to work towards your footballing and personal goals with commitment, determination and with an attitude to work and learn as much as possible.
